WHAT WEAK AIRFLOW LOOKS LIKE
Most of it traces back to the ducts, the coil, the drain line, or the filter. Here is what to look for.
- Some rooms never feel right. One room stays warm while the rest of the house is fine.
- Weak air at the vents. You hold your hand up and barely feel anything.
- Dust on the vents and registers. It comes back a few days after you wipe it down.
- The filter turns gray fast. A filter that dirties up early usually points at the ducts.
- Water around the indoor unit. That is often a drain line that needs cleaning.
- The system runs longer than it used to. It is working harder to move the same air.
